What happens when the things you cannot see begin to make their presence known?
This week on The Wandering Road, we sit down with Isabelle to hear a collection of terrifying paranormal experiences involving her and her family.
Isabelle recounts the disturbing moment she felt an invisible hand physically push her when no one was there. She also shares her sister’s frightening encounter on a staircase and the mysterious nighttime fears experienced by her baby, raising an unsettling question: can young children see or sense things that remain hidden from the rest of us?
We also venture into darker territory as Isabelle recalls a close encounter involving a Ouija board and discusses her beliefs about spirits, Heaven, Hell, and what may be waiting for us after death.
When strange experiences begin affecting multiple members of the same family, are they simply coincidences? Or was something lurking just beyond their sight, waiting for a chance to make itself known?
Whatever was there, they may not have been as alone as they thought.

And I get shoved so hard that I fly like pretty much probably almost 10 feet onto the laundry room into the floor. Like someone pushed me, like I just tripped and fell. Like I was straight shoved.
SPEAKER_00Welcome to the Wandering Road, a paranormal podcast. Every mile of this road holds a story. Some are whispered, some screamed, and some never meant to be told at all. From haunted backroads to whispered legends, no case is too dark and no question too dangerous. Welcome, traveler. The road is waiting.
SPEAKER_01And joining me today to talk about her paranormal experiences from TikTok is Isabel. Her handle is at ghost.kiss, and that's gh zero st. Welcome to the show, Isabel.
SPEAKER_04Thank you for having me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I came across one of your videos, and you were sharing a story about how like you lived in a haunted house, I believe, when you were younger. I left a comment saying, like, hey, I actually lived in one too, and then you sent me a message like, hey, I want to come on your show and talk about this stuff.
SPEAKER_04So Yeah, I got a lot, I got a lot of experiences I can share about all this.
SPEAKER_01We were talking a few minutes before we started recording, and you mentioned that like you actually do some investigations as well on your own. You like to go to abandoned places, which I think is really interesting and really brave because you never know what you're doing encounter. Unseen and scene? Like you don't know what kind of people are. Why don't you start from the beginning? Like, what was kind of like your entry into the paranormal? Did this start happening when you were young? Did you notice things, or just as long as you can remember, this stuff just started happening right off the bat?
SPEAKER_06So, like you said about the video I shared about the haunted house, I was only four years old, so I don't remember really any of it, just what my parents have told me. I've always liked spooky, I've always liked Halloween. Like when I was a kid, like Scooby-Doo was like my favorite. So I've just always really been drawn to like the spookier side of stuff. My mother's grandmother was actually, she had really good like spiritual intuition, which I think I in inherited, if that's the right word from her. Like she would just know if something's gonna happen. Like she'd be like, Oh, um, ginger's gonna call later. And it's like, how do you know that? Because you know, they weren't texting back then or anything. And the phone would ring and it was Ginger, like she just knew. And something similar I have to that is I dream things before they happen. And even if it's very like uneventful, anticlimatic stuff, like there were there will just be moments where it's like I'm out somewhere with someone and I'm like, holy crap, like I've dreamed this moment, like this has happened. I'm very spiritually in tuned, and not just with like I guess like a deja reeve is what it's called, I believe, but also like um clairsentient. I can hear things that aren't actually there, and it's it's not schizophrenia or anything.
SPEAKER_01It's kind of creepy when you hear someone's voice that you know say something to you, which I've had. Yeah, yeah. I've had instances when I grew up, like I mentioned in my comment, I lived in a haunted house, and I've had instances where voices would call out to me, and sometimes they'd be my mom, sometimes they'd be my dad.
SPEAKER_06My first mimic experience was actually two years ago, and I was home alone when it happened. Well, I used to live with my dad, and even though the house wasn't very big, he would always he would never yell, he would always text me, like, come here, or are you awake? Like, I like come here, I gotta ask you something, or whatever. And I was downstairs and he has two little chihuahua mixes, and you know, they bark at everything, they bark at the wind. And I heard him yell my name upstairs, and I'm like, that is so weird. He never yells my name. And the dogs heard it, and instead of you know, barking and freaking out, they were like staring at the stairs. And I checked the garage and my dad wasn't even home when I heard that. And actually, I believe that there's a spirit attached to my dad because all the paranormal experiences, pretty much every paranormal experience that happened at home was either at my dad's house, or my dad was somehow involved in the incident. Like at his old house, I wasn't here for this, but he had like it was like a half spiral staircase. It was kind of like it spins, and then there's like a landing, and then you go up. And there was like a balcony part of it where it was like you put like a decorative plant or something there. Like it was like a weird little awkward space. But my sister, and she still swears by this story, and she was like a dumb kid when this happened, but she still swears by this story. She says she saw a figure of a man hanging, like by a noose off of that drop above the stairs, and it freaked her out so bad. She, her and her little friend, they had to run over to her friend's house because she was like a neighbor. And at that house, um, we would hear like heavy stomping and running upstairs, and there was nobody up there. Um, you know, those little toys that like repeat back what you say in like the high-pitched voice. It's like a cactus, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_06We had one of those, and it was downstairs by itself, the TV wasn't on it, nobody was down there, and it started saying like full sentences on its own with nobody there.
SPEAKER_01Now, is that something that like you could pre-record on there? Or is it just like did it just like spit out words or it just says whatever, it repeats whatever it hears. It's like oh my gosh, I'm getting blurry again. No worries.
SPEAKER_06The spirits in my room don't like this talk.
SPEAKER_01No, you're exposing them.
SPEAKER_06So I I think I do have something that I recently bought that might be potentially haunted. I'm not quite sure. Since I bought it, weird stuff's been happening.
SPEAKER_01What what did you get?
SPEAKER_06So I got this little clown. I had to. He was like a buck at Goodwill. I used to have a little shelf on my desk just with like a bunch of trinkets. And um I come home from school one day and my boyfriend walks in. He walks all the way to like that back wall, and I'm just coming in the door behind him. Oh my god, the blurry. And I'm just coming in behind him, and the whole shelf of trinkets just falls forward, and everything falls everywhere. Like, like someone just pushed it. It was so weird. I woke up one night and my computer was on. I went to bed and it was fully asleep, turned off. I woke up and then my whole PC was totally turned on. I have these old pictures that we recently got, and one of them was on my nightstand facing me when they were like on my dresser away from my bed.
SPEAKER_01You're having instances of things actually being moved and actually toppled over. And these trinkets that you collect, do you still have them?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it was just like little um, it was like like figures, like little toys from like card shops. They're just in my closet now because I didn't really want to deal with setting them all back up. But I do have some stuff. Every time I buy something creepy, it's it's a gamble. It's like, is this gonna be what finally brings an entity in my home? Like I'm always joking about that. I have my strait jacket from I believe it's the St. Petersburg Asylum in Russia back from like the 1960s.
SPEAKER_02Oh wow.
SPEAKER_06I yeah, I have that. I have a human bone, I have a infant post-mortem removal case. I have all kinds of weird stuff, and every time I buy it, I'm like, this is what's finally gonna bring a ghost in my house. And it's finally finally it's happened, and it's just it's I think it's this clown.
SPEAKER_01Did you have like a feeling when you saw the clown and you're like, okay, I gotta have this. This feels kind of off, or you just randomly bought it. I was like, this looks cool, and I want to add a lot.
SPEAKER_06So I did get I did get a little feeling from it, but it wasn't like it's off. It's almost like I'll feel bad if I leave him here.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_06And I don't care for clowns. I don't own any, I've never ever bought any clown stuff. But something about him, I was like, I gotta take him home, besides the fact that he's only a dollar.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_06And and since then, it's so weird. Like, um, I'll be on my laptop in bed and the screen will just go black and like glitching, and that's never happened before.
SPEAKER_01So after you like purchase like these trinkets, and you have these little kits and you have the strait jacket and all this other stuff, um, and like you said, these small things are happening with your technology, like we had earlier, your your uh camera just completely crapped out. Might be technology related, might be something messing with it. Uh, it makes you wonder because sometimes that stuff, like especially with the technology stuff, is explainable. It's like, okay, your connection drop or something like that. But if it's the the frequency in which it happens to us, it's like, okay, there has to be something with it.
SPEAKER_06No, and the whole first time everybody we were talking about the East Coast, and it was totally fine. The men the second I mentioned spirits, that's when it cropped out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, 100%. And look, you just mentioned it again, and you went pixelated and you lagged and everything.
SPEAKER_06They don't like it. They don't like being me talking about them, but I can't help it. It's so fascinating to me.
SPEAKER_01Are you actively trying to see if you can capture something or interact with something? Or because I'm super into the paranormal too, but I don't collect those items. But like, what what is your end goal with collecting those things? Do you like want to have a collection in which, like, okay, I have a haunted collection and I like use my EMF meter and try to figure out what I can catch, or just curiosity?
SPEAKER_06So if I'm being honest, at first it was um, well, okay, the first thing that I got that was weird was the post-mortem removal case. And I really only bought it because it was on eBay for 20 bucks and it was listed as a trunk. And I'm like, I don't think this person knows what they have, and I felt like a shit bag. So I messaged them like, hey, you know what you have is not a trunk, and you could probably get a lot more from it. And she's like, I just don't want it. So I was like, okay, well, because I'm very big in history, especially with the way we used to deal with death. Like the Victorians, they mourned so differently. Like, have you seen like Victorian mourning jewelry or mourning art?
SPEAKER_01I have not seen the jewelry or art, but I have seen pictures in which they set up the deceased and take portraits with them. So it's it's a very interesting way they used to deal with their dead.
SPEAKER_06So they used to take um the hair of the deceased and they would weave it into like a braid or like a flower or any kind of like design and they would frame it, and that's what they would have to remember their loved ones. Like the most common thing you'll see is like a little brooch or a pin with some hair in it. Because the the mourning art itself goes for a lot of money. But I've just always thought that was really fascinating. The way that they mourned, like they went all out when someone died. And I mean, I can't speak for everyone modern day, but I don't think we go to that extent anymore. I don't know if it's because it's like considered a biohazard or just unsanitary or creepy or what, but I've just always thought that that was very interesting. So I like to hold on to those pieces because it's like, I don't know, I feel like it's one of those things where it's like the the longer it goes on, the more it'll be forgotten about.
unknownSure.
SPEAKER_06And I just like having I like weird stuff. I like having a room where people walk in and they're like, like they have they have that feeling where it's like you're at the worst sleepover of your life and your parents aren't picking up the phone. But then, but then by the time you learn what's in here and you leave, you're thinking about it and you're like, that's actually some really cool stuff. Like, when am I ever gonna see that again?
SPEAKER_01Right, no, no, that's a good point. And back to the Victorian uh maybe we could call it death culture, death customs. I never really thought about that. I saw it, I would see it, I'm like, okay, that's weird. Like, why are you taking a picture with your dead grandparent? That's yeah, like what the hell are you doing? But okay, that was the 1800s, so things change over time, but I think you were on to something with the sanitary aspect. Yeah, I mean they really had an understanding of body. I I mean, they kind of did post-Civil War with embalming and stuff. So it's one of those things where like I think they just didn't have a real good understanding of the sanitary aspect of it.
SPEAKER_06Definitely not. And another thing I think it's that um just because you know it took so long, like their pick their cameras back then weren't as fast as ours today.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_06And you don't really know when someone's gonna because like the average lifespan was like 50s or 60s back then, because they would they were just so disgusting and dirty and like Osha would have a field day with them.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_06But but I think it's just like, oh, someone died unexpectedly, we don't have any recent pictures of them. Let's go pose grandpa and get one last picture of him.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_06I think it's really in that aspect, but yeah, my my end goal is not to have something haunted. It's kind of just spiraled since I bought the thing, and then an ex gifted me the straitjacket, and the human bone was only 30 bucks, and like why not? Like, I want to own a human bone.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_06So I mean, I don't I don't even like using the spirit box in my own apartment complex, let alone in my room, because I know that that ramps up activity and I don't live alone, so I don't want to ruin it for everyone else here.
SPEAKER_01Right, right. Yeah, um, so you just said you don't live alone, so I'm assuming you have roommates.
SPEAKER_06I live with my mom and my stepdad.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Are they receptive of the paranormal? Or are they kind of like, look, man, just keep it to yourself.
SPEAKER_06So my mom is, she does believe in it. It does interest her. She likes it. She just says, Don't you dare fucking bring anything home. That's her thing. She's she goes to bed early. She goes to bed at like eight. She's like, I don't have time for ghosts slamming doors, banging on shit all night. So they they like they like hearing about it, they respect my beliefs about it, what I buy. I mean, every time, like I said, every time I buy something, it's a gamble. And like, is this is this what's gonna be that tears the house apart?
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_06But um, like they like hearing about like what I'm seeing when I go, they won't do it themselves, but they're like, yeah, show me the pictures and the videos and tell me everything, but I'm not going with you.
SPEAKER_01No, that's fair, because I feel like it's not for everyone.
SPEAKER_06And if you go feeling scared and anxious and just not there, it's the spirits will know and they will feed off of that.
SPEAKER_01I definitely do think these things, whatever they are, spirits, whatever you want to deities, demons, whatever you want to call them, I do think that they latch on. I don't want to say latch on to people in the sense that they follow you, but I definitely think that they are attracted to people that investigate and are go in with fear. So I think they are onto something there because it feeds, they feed off of that. Like when I was younger, lived in a haunted house, you hear footsteps and you hear like banging and all that stuff, it scares the fuck out of you. Especially when you're like kid. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know what the fuck is going on. I'm scared. That feeds off of it. Completely plausible. One thing I wanted to go back to is you mentioned something with dreams. So, what are your thoughts on the concept of precognition? Because I would call that precognition, in which like you'll dream of something like five years ago, and then five years later you're like, uh, okay.
SPEAKER_06No, yeah, that happens exactly. But the thing is though, it's like I said, it's super anticlimatic. It'll be like I'm in line waiting for food, and it's like, oh my god, I dreamt this. And the thing is, I don't really have a lot of dreams that I remember.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_06It's like I'll dream, I wake up, I forget about it like a minute later, I'm on with my day. But I will remember in the moment that I have dreamed this before. And I like the the biggest one that has happened to me is so the dreams, even if it's not entirely accurate, the baseline of it is pretty accurate. I had a dream that somebody in my third grade class died. And we were at the school for the funeral, and you know, we're all gathered around looking at the body and stuff, and like I couldn't see who it was in the dream. All I know is somebody from my third grade class died. I thought that was a weird dream. Whatever. I go on Facebook. Did anybody die? Nobody died. All right, I'm going on with my day. My mom comes home from work and she says, Guess what I just heard? And I said, What? And she said, so-and-so that I went to school with in third grade just died.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, so even if that wasn't my third grade classmates, it was somebody's. And the thing is, those big dreams, they feel different. Like I wake up and I'm like, this does not feel right. Like, there's been times where um my mom was gonna go to the gym after work or something, and I have to call her. I'm like, no, like you need to come home now. Like, I had a horrible dream last night. I don't want to get into it until you're home, but you need to come home now. So I'll come home and she's like, What was the dream? And I'm like, it was just a horrible car accident you were in. Like, you didn't make it, like, it just wasn't good. And that night, there's an accident on that road, super bad. The driver ends up dead, and it's like I've had dreams like that myself.
SPEAKER_01Like, I get deja vu of like, oh shit, I actually dreamt of this. And like when it comes to the situation to drive, whoever was gonna drive, it's like, no, I'm gonna drive.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And try, you know, try to take control of the situation. So I think there's something to precognition and those type of dreams, kind of like a warning to let us know, like, hey, this might happen.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it's almost on par with like the alternate timeline.
SPEAKER_01I was about to say that.
SPEAKER_06Exactly. I I could feel it. I had a feeling, I was like, I know where this is going.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, definitely. Because there's always that theory that people throw out there. If you when you have like lucid or vivid dreams, it's kind of like an altern you're in an alternate timeline or universe or dimension. I know it's it sounds pretty far-fetched, um, but you know, I mean, the results speak for themselves, but especially when you warned your mother, like, hey, there's gonna be an accident on this road, I don't want you on it. Mm-hmm. And lo and behold, there's an accident. And my mom has always done that with me and my sister as well. She'll tell me, like, hey, I don't have a good feeling today. Please don't do X, Y, and Z. And then I don't do X, Y, and Z, because I grew up in New York City, and I'm like, okay, mom, I'll listen to you. And lo and behold, that afternoon there was like a shooting on the block or something like that.
SPEAKER_06So Yeah, I don't know if it's just um I don't know if it's a gut feeling or just intuition, or like we said, like an alternate universe timeline kind of thing. I mean, I'm very open to that. I have had the tinfoil hat on lately, especially with all the UAP files coming out. I think anything's possible at this point. I think it's crazy to not consider that being a possibility.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So now that you mentioned UAPs, you got my attention again. Um I wish Dean was here for that one because he's like the big out of the two of us, he's like the big like UFO guy. Um I'm more so like the ghosts and demons, but I'll dabble in a little bit of like UFO and UAP. Um what are your thoughts on like UAPs, UFOs, aliens in general? Do you think it's something that's already here in our oceans, or do you think they're actually coming from the skies? Like what are you what are your thoughts based off of what they've released in the files recently?
SPEAKER_06So, based off of what's been released in the files recently, I think they could be ever anywhere and everywhere. I think space is just so big and vast that there's no way that we will ever know everything that's in it. Even generations later, I don't think we'll ever know everything that's in space. It's just too big, too vast. There could be a planet just like us right now, super far away, thinking that they're the only ones. I think thinking that we're the only ones is ludicrous. But as far as the ocean, um, it's something crazy. Like only 25% of the ocean has been discovered. Is that right?
SPEAKER_01Like explored. Yeah. Vastly. Yeah. It's like we're finding new species of spit fish like every Exactly.
SPEAKER_06And I think it's weird that NASA was looking into the ocean at one point. I'm like, what do they have to do with what do they have to do with that? But I do believe the the ocean water itself is very spiritual. I think if you go I mean tinfoil hat moment, I think if you go deep enough, there are portals that maybe go into space. I don't know. It just gets it's like it's like space. It's just so big and vast and like we ne we don't really know where it stops and where it ends.
SPEAKER_01Like No, that's that's fair. I I think I think like from that perspective, like maybe there because here's the thing. Like especially like in places like the Caribbean islands and stuff like that, they will see UFOs just like submerge underwater. So it's like you don't really know what's going on down there. It's like, is there military installations under the water? Do aliens have bases underwater that we don't know about and they're keeping tabs on us because they know we're not gonna go down there because one, it's very difficult to explore. Two, I feel like we don't really have an interest in exploring it, whether it's out of fear or something equivalent.
SPEAKER_06So something I've been really interested in again, which I was really invested when it first came out, but now that all the UAPs are out and it's kind of confirmed like yes, aliens are real. I have really gone back to the Miami Mall incident. And people people were saying if you take the coordinates of the Miami Mall and reverse them, so north is south, east is west, whatever, it takes you to Antarctica.
SPEAKER_03Huh.
SPEAKER_06Which is all ice, which is all water. I mean, I don't know if I'm trying to make connections that aren't there, but I do think it's weird that you have to have a really you have to be basically approved by the government to go to Antarctica. Like the average Joe just can't go unless you boat your way there somehow and don't get kicked off.
SPEAKER_01Right. Yeah, yeah. I mean, honestly, I wouldn't want to go there. It's just I know, I get cold each.
SPEAKER_06I want to see aliens, but I'm too cold for that.
SPEAKER_01Right, yeah. And I think like I mean, aside from like, you know, the tinfull hat stuff, I do think they have like large labs and stuff where they preserve different species of plants. All this other type of stuff in the case of a catastrophic event. So the people that say, like, you know, the government's doing something on Antarctica, yeah, they are. But are they doing more? That's the fun part to talk about.
SPEAKER_06It is. I mean there is so much weird and just I guess shady stuff going on with the government lately, especially with like AI, the UAP files. There was some guy who just confirmed to catch Bigfoot and release his DNA that it's like 50% human, 50% Neanderthal. There's just so much weird stuff happening right now. I like I said, I think it's crazy to think that that isn't happening. If you think that they're just like, yeah, there's aliens, but we don't really care to like research them, look into them.
SPEAKER_01I think Yeah, with the whole alien stuff, I think there's a lot more that we're not being told. And I think I think I think the reason, and um I've had this conversation with previous guests, I have this had this conversation with my co-hosting Ad Nauseum, in the sense that there's this notion that if they truly disclose aliens that they exist, there's a planet out there that they're highly advanced and they've been here, yada yada yada, that it would lead to some sort of societal and economic collapse because people would go crazy because it would essentially challenge a lot of people's religious foundations, let's say.
SPEAKER_06Oh, for sure, yeah.
SPEAKER_01From my perspective, I I don't see that as a problem. Like if there was disclosure. I'm like, okay, that's cool. Um, are they gonna help us do anything? If not, I gotta work tomorrow.
SPEAKER_06So Rents still do no matter what, no matter what their plan is.
SPEAKER_01Right. No, exactly that. Exactly that. So I I think there are aliens. They should just disclose it and just get it over with. Just rip the band-aid off. If any good comes out of it, it is what it is, and then we can go ahead and go from there.
SPEAKER_06I'm pretty on par with you. I do believe in um I do believe in heaven and hell, even if it's not like fiery pits and clouds and rainbows and puppies, like we all think it is. Um, I don't know. I'm I can't say I'm religious. I can't say I'm not religious. I believe in heaven and hell. I believe in angels and demons, spirits, reincarnation, aliens, cryptids. I believe in all that stuff. I believe in a higher power. I don't know. Maybe I'm just a believer. I believe in all that. I think all of that's a possibility. I really used to believe this. Now I'm not so sure just because, you know, everything happening. I believe that heaven is where you're just a spirit, you're at rest, you can visit family members, you can watch over them, whatever. And hell is basically you didn't live this life right, and you're going to come back to Earth reincarnated until you get it right.
SPEAKER_01On the rare occasions I have philosophical discussions with my wife, she will say, I think hell, like, we're we're in it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I can see that too. Maybe heaven is finally getting out of here.
SPEAKER_01Right. Like, it's that I think that's plausible. And the whole reincarnation cycle, like coming back just to make sure you learn your lesson and you're able to ascend. I've heard that the that argument or idea from uh multiple people that I've interviewed in the past as well. So I think there's there's something to it. Again, it goes back to the Socratic method way of thinking, like, I know that I know nothing.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So all you can do is really speculate, and we really won't find out until the c time comes for us to pass away. And I my friends and I, we always joke, like, okay, what if we pass away and we're expect some people are expecting to see Jesus or something like that, and then they say like a Hindu deity, and it's like, you know? Or they see like Anubis or Osiris, and it's like all crap. Like, fuck, we got that wrong. Or or like we joke saying that, like, okay, well, okay, you don't like the way I look. Hold on. There you go. Is that better?
SPEAKER_06Like sheep shifting, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06But it's so crazy. It's like we don't know until it happens, and then once it happens, it's like, who are we gonna tell? How are we gonna tell people? Like, it's like when people use Ouija boards and they'll talk to just either really bored or malicious spirits, because I don't believe all spirits are bad. I think the ones that act out are bored, and someone's finally acknowledging them, and that's why they're kind of getting loud and just in the way and like annoying. Like spirits, in my experience, spirits are just bad kids. You just tell them stop and knock it off, and usually they listen.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06But when they say like I'm in hell, or hell is real, heaven is real, like there's only darkness, like whatever they say, it's like who's to know if they're if they're warning us or if they're bored and trying to freak us out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, or or they're lying. Yeah, or they're just flat out warning malicious for the love of the game. Yeah, because I don't think like everything, you have the people in the camp that everything is demonic, and I'm definitely not in that camp at whatsoever. Yeah. Because what I dealt with could kind of be categorized as it's like really, really angry or malicious spirit, or borderline demonic. Depending on who I tell the story to, they're like, okay, that's an angry spirit. No, I think that's a demon. So, like, there'll be key indicators of whether something is really infernal or not. And it's like things mimicking like people that you know, things getting physical with you, physical with other people, interacting with you know, in a violent manner with some of your household items, not trying to creep you out, but stuff like that. That's kind of like an indicator of like, okay, maybe there's something angry here, or maybe there's something more malicious at play.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. So um, back to that haunted house when I was a kid that we lived in. Um the woman who used to live there, her daughter lived right next door. And back then in that neighborhood, there were no fences in the backyard. It was basically everyone shared one big backyard. So when we moved in, and my parents are like, okay, well, we have two small children, they can't be running in everyone's backyard. They built a fence. And um, and there was like a big tree that that woman planted, and we cut the tree down and we painted her walls. We were basically changing around her house. And my mom swears that the biggest thing is the fact that we put up that fence separating her from her daughter's house. Because we think that she was just angry and wanted maybe to be closer to her daughter, but now that that fence was up, there's new people in her house, causing all this trouble, loud, just annoying. Like nobody wants people in their house. Like, I don't care how social you are, nobody wants people in your house messing with your stuff, changing things. Um, yeah, we're 99% sure that the spirit there was her, and she was just angry because she couldn't go talk to her daughter anymore because she was gone. We put the fence up, we tore out her tree. And the thing is, some of the things she was doing would be considered borderline demonic. But I think she was just angry because a lot of the times they're just angry because they're not alive, and we are.
SPEAKER_01I I really do think there's something to that, especially if they didn't lead a happy life or they didn't get to do something that they initially wanted to do, so they can't get over the fact that like I can't do this anymore, and I have to cross over.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01I really think that can be the case. What were some things that happened to you specifically in that home, if you could recall, or what your parents shared with you?
SPEAKER_06The only thing that I remember being there, because I can remember stuff back from when I was two years old. I don't know how, but I don't remember much about that house. I just remember that one night all of a sudden, because me and my sister shared a queen bed, because it was it was a really small two-bedroom house. It was like 840 square feet. So it was tiny. So me and my sister just shared like one queen bed or like a full or whatever. And I just remember all of a sudden my mom would start sleeping with us every night. And as a four-year-old, I'm like, oh, sleepover with mom every night. Cool. Like I didn't think anything of it. I would not be thinking about ghosts at four years old. But just like the stories my mom has said, like the door flying open three separate times within like an hour, just breaking the windows. My sister's like high chair tray overflowing with water, almost like someone was still pouring it, just straight overflowing with water. The oven being open with like the drawer pulled out, kitchen drawers being open, our toys going off in the night, hearing a doorknob jiggle, open the door, there's nobody in there. Just like enough stuff to be like, there's something here, like this all cannot be coincidences.
SPEAKER_01Sounds similar to what I dealt with, to be honest with you. Like you said, somebody's angry that you're in their space, what they consider their home, and you're making all these changes. You guys put up a fence, you uh took down a tree that they were probably fond of. So just you know, agitation after agitation, I could see them taking that out on the family just to get you guys out. Did um did that entity when you lived in the house, did your mom or dad ever say if it got physical with anybody, or it was just it messed with the technology, with the toys or slam.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it nothing was ever physical, as far as I remember. I think the only physical thing I could say was just slamming the door. I guess that would be more on par with like a more violent thing, would be slamming the door open or shut. But yeah, no scratches, nothing ever like that. But the house after that, that we or I guess two houses after that one, we moved in, and the energy was just horrible in this house. Like, I don't know if there was a spirit there or what, but like the energy was just awful in that house. Like, no matter how bright it was outside, it just felt dark in there, and like we were facing the sun, like where the sun rose, and like every morning, like we had the sun right on us, and it just always felt dark in there. And that house is actually where I ended up getting in huge fights with my dad, like I never have. Like, I ended up not talking to him for like seven years after we lived there. Um, my parents got divorced there, it was just a horrible energy. I guess the only paranormal things that have happened there were I just got in a really big fight with my dad, and I'm walking away to go into my room, and I get shoved so hard that I fly like pretty much probably almost 10 feet onto the laundry room, into the floor. Like someone pushed me. Like it was not like I just tripped and fell. Like I was straight shoved. And I've woken up with like a handprint, like a perfect handprint, like on my leg. But that's all I can really think of besides how off the energy was for that house at least.
SPEAKER_01One I will say that is absolutely terrifying. It was that that you had me out. Yeah, that you had you actually had some sort of not some sort of, you actually had a physical attack.
SPEAKER_06That's the only time I ever have, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Now, how old were you, if you can recall, if you don't mind sharing?
SPEAKER_06I was probably 12 or 13. I believed in spirits, but I was not like how I am now. It was kind of like you go to a cemetery and that happens, or someone has to die in that house for you to, you know, be involved with them. I didn't think that they could just manifest onto you or follow you from house to house to house or whatever. Because, like I said, 90% of the paranormal interactions at home were with my dad, or my dad lived there.
SPEAKER_01Okay. So when you said that the now I'm curious about the environment and what it felt like because I'm just drawing a lot of parallels to what I went through.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Did you feel like when you went in that home, you said the energy felt off? Like, what did it feel like? Like if you were by yourself, did you feel like something was watching you? If you don't mind sharing what it felt like being in there, if you're comfortable with that.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Like, you know, when you go outside and the humidity is just heavy, like the air is thick.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_06It felt like that, but without the humidity, just like thick, heavy energy, like just always sad. It's like I'm so sad and I have no idea why. Like, it's like every day was a bad day, no matter what was happening there. Like, someone couldn't win, somebody, somebody could win the lottery, and it would still end up being a horrible day. Because of just how horrible the energy was. And I don't know if it was from the previous owners, because there were some pretty shitty people who lived there. We ended up, they so when they moved out, they left um one of their cats behind. So she was so skittish. It took me probably three months just to get her to trust me by looking at me. Like she would see me in bolt. But after three months, she finally would stare at me and just like be still. But apparently they used to abuse her animals so bad, they would wrap the cat in the blanket, throw it down the stairs. Horrible people, just horrible people. So I don't know if just their energy lingering in that house or the energy in that house caused them to do these shitty things. I don't know. But just I don't know, like we whenever we had friends over, they always wanted to go home early. It was always, let's go hang out at our house. Like they never wanted to come over to our house. Our house, and like we had it was a very nice house. It was like two stories, big backyard. We were right across the street from a park. We had we had a freaking Wii and Xbox. It was like the house in like the 2010s. But just it didn't matter. It was it just you felt horrible in there, no matter what was going on. Nobody wanted to come over. I'm getting blurry again.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. To be honest with you, Isabel, I'm I'm really thinking there was something there that was either really angry or I don't want to say demonic because I don't. I I can't tell. I I can't really tell. I don't have to be able to do that.
SPEAKER_06I mean, I would believe it. It was horrible there.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, the only thing that would be like, okay, maybe Angry Spirit demonic is the fact that it got physical with you. And it takes a lot of energy for an entity to get physical with it. It does. And especially with a child.
SPEAKER_06No, especially. And like it was right when I was having a fight with my dad. Like, I think I probably said fuck you or something to him, and then I go flying across the room. And it was far. It was like because my bedroom was at like the end. We it was like a weird like loft layout. So my bedroom was like in the loft, and then I had a little like Jack and Jill bathroom with my sister, and then it was her bedroom, and then it was the laundry room. So I flew down like three doors. Like it was a it was a far fly. It was pretty far. Like, I don't I think I got up and I had no idea what just happened. Yeah, the this we we still talk about it, and like like my sister, do you remember when he went flying into the into the laundry room on Mallard Court? I'm like, how can I forget that? That was terrifying.
SPEAKER_01And you know, you say you talk about it with your sister and you laugh about it, literally the same fucking thing happened to my aunt.
SPEAKER_06If you've ever used a spirit box or see people use a spirit box, their responses are usually always late because they're manifesting that energy just to respond.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_06The amount of energy to shove somebody seven, eight, nine feet. That has to be something that it's been wanting to do for a while, or it's just so strong that it just it does not care who's in its way.
SPEAKER_01Or it was like, what the fuck did you just say to your dad? And just send your ass fing.
SPEAKER_06It's like, no, we don't do that gentle parenting shit here.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_06But I did live in um a not so nice area in Texas. Do you know Fort Hood? Um, I've heard the name, but I it's where um Vanessa Gheen, that soldier, was murdered there.
SPEAKER_01It was really big and like back.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06So um my ex-husband was stationed there and we lived in the apartments literally right across the street. And it was just so weird there. Like it was almost the same energy of that house. It was just weird, off, negative, dark. Um, he rented the apartment right when he got back from deployment. So I was still in California. I hadn't seen the apartment. If I walked in there with him, I would have said, hell no, we're not living here. I don't care how cheap is, we're not living in this one. Because we lived in that complex before, just not that unit. So um he comes back from deployment. Me and my son go to Texas and meet him there. And like I said, it did not matter how bright it was in there, it just felt dark. And that was where most of our fight started. We did end up getting divorced in that apartment. We had um, and things were moving around. We had these little ceramic Halloween coasters in the middle of our dining table. And granted, we did have a cat. Cats like to move stuff, but she did not care. If it wasn't something she could eat, she wanted nothing to do with it. And these were heavy coasters, like pretty like marble almost. And they were just stacked up in the middle of the hallway on the floor. And I'm like, Did you move those? And he's like, No. And he tried to blame our son. Our son didn't even know how to walk yet. I'm like, how is he gonna move those? And stacked them up perfectly in the hall without anybody seeing. So that was something that happened. Um, my son's bedroom was so cold. It did not matter what season it was, how humid it was in Texas, his room was freezing. Like, I like slammed that window shut, I turned the air vents, there was no ceiling fan, just whatever I could do, and it was freezing in there. Like he bumped all the way up. And on the baby monitor, I would always see orbs. Like, and it was like always around his bed. They weren't just kind of like dust particles where they just kind of float by. They were like hovering around his bed. And I remember like the first thing I told myself was this like, because I don't want to live in a haunted place. I mean, if I do, I do. I don't want to, though. Oh my god, I'm blurry again.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_06They're all listening and they don't like this. But I'm like, I don't want to live in a haunted place, so I'm gonna try to do everything I can to eliminate that from. Being a possibility. So I got a little like floor fan going, just blowing everything out. I dusted everything in the room. I dusted the ceiling. I I don't dust. I think it's okay. That sounds horrible. I don't dust, but I was I was like, I don't want to live in a haunted house, especially when it's my baby's room. I did everything to get that dust out of the room. Those orbs were around the whole time we lived there, and they were always hovering over his bed. And we would hear him talking to himself at night, and it's like, I don't know if he could see something that we couldn't, or if he was just being an 18-month-old and just yapping.
SPEAKER_01Not to freak you out, but I think he was.
SPEAKER_06I think he was too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because I really think that kids and babies and people that are closer to the end of their lives can see things of the other, like the other plane.
SPEAKER_06The veil is so much thinner for that. Thinner.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely. Absolutely. So did your son like ever like scream at night or just like would babble at it?
SPEAKER_06Or there were nights where and something about my son, even when he was like a newborn, he never cried. Like it was almost weird. Like I would have to wake him up ever ever like in the middle of the night when he was a newborn because he just wouldn't cry in the night. He was like the perfect baby, like a doll almost. It's almost like I forget I had a baby at night. He never woke up, never cried. There were nights in that apartment where it would just be screaming bloody murder. And it's like, holy, because it wasn't a good area. I'm like, holy crap, did somebody break in? I run in there. And he's just in bed staring at the corner, freaking out. And like he would position himself in his crib to be staring at a certain corner of the room. And there was nothing over there. Like, I had no toys over there. There was nothing over there for him to be looking at, just nothing. But the orbs around over his bed. And that was the only time he would ever cry and freak out in the night was in that apartment.
SPEAKER_01So when he did do that, did you like take him out the room or you or like did you stay with him? Did you get any type of vibe? So I walk in.
SPEAKER_06I walk in because we had the hall light on, so I didn't have to turn his light on. I walk in and he's like, usually if he wants to get up, he's like standing at the end of his crib, like holding on, like, pick me up. But I go in there and he's like sitting, just staring at the corner, still screaming and crying. Like he didn't even look at me. I had to go and be like, hey, like what's going on? And then I I I think I'm pretty sure I took him back to our bedroom. He just slept with me that night because my ex-husband wasn't home. He was um, I don't know, they're doing something that week for work, and he wasn't home. It was just me and my son at home for the week and our cat, but I don't really count her. But yeah, that was the only time that's ever happened. And my ex-husband was very non-believer, grew up in a very, very strictly Christian household, like so Christian that he wasn't allowed to play Pokemon as a kid. So that's how he feels about ghosts, demons. Yeah. I'm like, you poor, you sweet summer soul. So he really was not a believer in anything ghost, paranormal. He said it's either all easily explained or it's a demon.
SPEAKER_01You know, okay, and I've said this before, um, I have a huge problem with people that act in that manner.
SPEAKER_02I do too.
SPEAKER_01And the reason for that, it's not like malicious, like I hate you, or anything like that. Absolutely not. Because I always on my show, like I I will always be respectful to anyone and their beliefs. Like that that is not the point of why I do this show to challenge anyone.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But I think when it comes to stuff like that and it's affecting your family, that we should have like certain markers in our lives that it's like, okay, I don't believe this. But when it's starting to affect your child, it's like, okay, maybe I need to pull my head out of my ass.
SPEAKER_04No, and that's what I told him.
SPEAKER_01Start to realize, you know, there's something going on here.
SPEAKER_06That's exactly what I told him. I said, you know, you may not believe it, but this is what's happening, and something needs to be done about this. And he's like, well, we can't move out, which given he's an asshole, but he was right, we can't just move out. And so I said, Okay, well, I'm not really comfortable with him sleeping by himself for a while, not until we get whatever's in there figured out. And like I said, most spirits are just bored, and that's why they just run amuck. Because I have had instances where my at my old house with the mimic, um, where my keyboard, because I have a mechanical keyboard, it would just click all night. And I did everything I could to stock it, unplug it, turn my PC off, leave keep my PC on, it would just click all night. Like, and it was typing, like it wasn't like a set pattern, it was randomized. And one night I just went, oh my god, stop. And it never happened again. That next morning or whatever, I go into my son's room and I open the windows. I'm like, hey, whatever, whatever's here, you need to go. You are not welcome here. I don't want you here. You're making all of us unhappy. You just gotta get out of here. And nothing happened again after that. So I don't know if maybe he just had a night terror or what. Because I did still see the orbs on the baby monitor, but there was no more weird staring in the corner, crying and screaming at night.
SPEAKER_01Right. Look, I'm gonna be honest with you. If I saw that on the baby monitor, it's like, okay, we're all staying in one room.
SPEAKER_06No, no, so that did actually there was an instance where I was on FaceTime with my mom one night in that apartment, and I'm laying in bed on my stomach, and I have the TV behind me, and I look at myself in like the little FaceTime camera, and I see that the TV just turned on on its own. And my mom's like, oh, like, are you laying on the remote? And I'm like, I must be, and I'm looking around, and it's on my husband's nightstand, and I'm like, I was not laying on the remote. We're gonna finish this conversation in the living room because I don't want to be in here right now.
SPEAKER_01So that's um, so I kind of do like the pattern recognition type of thing, and I try to connect us. Yeah. So you had that instance when you were younger. It sounded like in that home there was that lady that was kind of pissed off. Yeah. Like, hey, you put up a fence, you dug up my tree, get the fuck out.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Then you go to the other home where it's like, like, we're the house to be, but nobody wants to fucking be here. And then you get shoved, and you wake up with a handprint on your leg that's unexplainable. And then you move to Texas, and you have all this weird shit going on. Now, do you think that you said you were Claire sentient or Claire Audience? Um I apologize.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, Claire Audience, Claire Sentient, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay, yes. Okay. So for folks that have that and people that are sensitive, do you think you were attracting these things unintentionally because you're kind of like a beacon in the dark? In the sense that hey, I've been here for X amount of years. The people I've interacted with or try to interact with, they I can't interact with them, but Isabel can hear me. She can see me. And it's kind of like those TV shows. Like, you ever watch those TV shows where like people can see spirits and then Ghost Whisper, yes, I love it. Yeah, it's like you can see me, can't you? Type of thing. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06So I do think that that is a possibility. I was in rehab last August for about two weeks, and there was a women's hall in a men's hall, and it was they were so anal about women being in the men's hall, men being in the women's hall. Like you take one step over and you're get you're screwed. And I I went to bed pretty late. I think like the room bedtime was about midnight, so I was always up as late as I could be, just so I could have one last cigarette before bed. Everyone was already, I was always like the last one to go to bed. And I'm laying in bed and I hear the loudest conversation out in the hallway. And it's like men yelling, it's loud, like everyone's talking over each other. And I'm like, what's happening at two in the morning that I'm missing out on? So I get up and I open my door. The second my hand turns the handle, silence. I look down the hall, there's nobody out there. And I'm like, what the heck? Okay, I must be really tired. But another instance that happened there was at this rehab, they had us wear ankle monitors. And it wasn't so we could not escape. It was because, you know, when people are detoxing and recovering, they want to be able to check on you every 15, 30 hours just to make sure that you're detoxing okay. Usually they could scan these ankle bracelets through the hallways. Like they would just walk down the hall on an iPad and just, you know, click, yes, they're here, they're here. They wouldn't actually look at you. They would just click that you were there and they'd go right back to whatever they were doing. But I had a dud which mine would not pick up unless it was basically in their face, which I would get woken up in the night where they'd say, Hey, stick your leg out from under the blanket. I gotta scan you. It was such a dud. And it was so annoying. It was like, it was almost like they were targeting me. But I woke up one night and I see someone standing over me, and I'm like, oh my God, they're here to scan my bracelet because it's under the blanket and they can't pick it up. So I stick my leg out and I'm still eyes shut and I'm like, Did you get it? And I look up and there's nobody in my room. But I did find out that that place did used to be a retirement home before it became a rehab. So maybe there are people who pass there who are just bored, and like you said, there's someone who's noticing them and what they're doing now, and they're like, oh word, like I want attention.
SPEAKER_01Right. Right, 100%. Now, this kind of leads me to this other question because you saw that figure. Like you woke up, saw the figure. Have you ever had instances of sleep paralysis in your life?
SPEAKER_06I never have. My best friend. Really? My best friend used to get it chronically. I don't know if she still does, like, she gets it to the point where it doesn't even scare her. I've I've never had sleep paralysis, and that is one of my biggest fears. I will not sleep on my back because I know that that ups your chance. I'm like a strict stomach sleeper, but yeah, I've never had sleep paralysis, astral projection, any of that.
SPEAKER_01Okay, and I think that's great that you never had, because I had sleep paralysis for the first time after starting the show. So it's like, okay, I went my entire life without this shit. And then I start talking to people about sleep paralysis, and they get it, and then all of a sudden, I end up getting it. I'm like, okay, that's wonderful. So yeah, I hope you never get it because it's not a fun experience, and it's like really terrifying.
SPEAKER_06I mean Especially when you can't. It's like maybe I'm in for a treat tonight. Who who knows?
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna get a message on TikTok, like, dude.
SPEAKER_06Dude, you fucking.
SPEAKER_01I just saw the hat man. Like, what the fuck?
SPEAKER_06I look over, I got Mothman in bed next to me.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_01It's like, oh, you can sue me. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_06I've I'm actually surprised I've never had it. There's moments where it's like, I'm like, holy crap, I'm gonna if I don't get off my back right now, I'm gonna get it. Even if it's like I'm not even tired. But yeah, I have had to wake up people from sleep paralysis before, mainly one of my exes, he would get it, and I wouldn't know that he got it until like he would tell me, like, I had sleep paralysis, why didn't you wake me up? I don't know. I'm because I'm 17. I don't know what that is. I don't know what that looks like.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_06And I would only know because he'd start breathing really fast and heavy to the point where I'd roll over and look at him, and I see his eyes are awake and he can't move, and then that's when I'd kind of start moving him myself and kind of help snap him out of it.
SPEAKER_01At least you were nice enough to do that.
SPEAKER_06I did not, there was no reason for me to be. He he himself was like a dark energy. I should have I should have let him have it, teach him a lesson. But but I don't know, that's like one of my biggest fears is having that alone.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_06Because I hear it's so hard to like snap yourself out of it. Like, like, how do you snap yourself out of it?
SPEAKER_01So, like for me, it was one of those things. Like, I I was thankfully I was like I'm a side sleeper, or sometimes I'm a stomach sleeper.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_01I fucking grew up in New York City, like in the 90s, so like I'm very aware of my surroundings, and I'm the type of person that I can tell who is in my house based off of what their footsteps sound.
SPEAKER_05That's like a that's like a strict parent PTSD kind of thing. I got that too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, oh a hundred percent. Strict parent and the fact that like I lived in a place where it's like just not the best.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, no, it's it's like the footsteps will determine everyone in the house's mood for the rest of the day.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. No, that is true. That is true.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, no.
SPEAKER_01Like to not okay, I don't want to out anybody, but like based off of that PTSD, like if I hear certain footsteps and I'm doing something that's like my leisure type of activity that I used to get shit for as a kid, like I will quickly turn that off in record time before anyone gets. I was like that.
SPEAKER_06I had the DS clothes and on under my pillow, like every five minutes just in case. And yeah, and then like some Mario going, bye-bye, and it's like, oh god, you're gonna get me screwed.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, right. Yeah, so so 100% with that. Yeah, with my sleep paralysis, I just literally said in my mind, like, you know, like Jesus help me. And I don't know if like that actually worked, or the passage of time allowed my body to catch up with the fact that I was conscious again. Dean, even though he's not here, him and I we always take a logical aspect, scientific aspect with certain things that happened to us that we can explain. I mean, like getting fucking tossed 10 feet with nothing behind you, you can't explain that scientifically. It's like, oh shit, that happened. But I think with like sleep paralysis, like with what I went through, I'm thinking like just because like that was on my mind for so long, my body kind of did it to itself. And then like as time went, like I could start moving. But the only thing that I will say that was really creepy was that feeling of dread. Even when I could move, even when I could fully move, I had like full function, like motor function of like my feet and my hands and stuff like that. I could hear both my dogs passed out snoring, I can hear my wife breathing and sleeping next to me.
SPEAKER_06Almost like a grounding thing.
SPEAKER_01And then I just have this feeling of dread, and it's like, why don't I want to move? Even though I know I can move. And it's like there's this thing in the back of your mind where it's like, if I move and I pick up my head, I'm gonna see something that I don't want to see. And it's gonna be with me for a very, very long time.
SPEAKER_06Like, I will not go to bed for the next week.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, right?
SPEAKER_06Like I'll have to be sedated.
SPEAKER_01Uh, just sleep on your side, you'll be okay.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I'm I'm a very I'm just gonna.
SPEAKER_01Just face the wall.
SPEAKER_06No, I will okay. Sometimes I'll face the wall, but then I'll just get like that. If I look over my shoulder right now, there's gonna be a pair of eyes staring back at me. And I'll have to flip over real fast. I'm like, no, I can't chance that. I gotta sleep protecting my like I'm saying I'm safe against the wall.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I like to cocoon myself when I feel uncomfortable. Just like I do that.
SPEAKER_06I make it I will make a nest, but if like if if if if my boyfriend's over, he's getting the side I'm I'm safe by the wall. He can deal with he can deal with whatever staring through staring at the bed. That's not my problem when he's over.
SPEAKER_01You collect all these items, you've had these paranormal experiences throughout your life, some more recent than others, and you said like within the past week you've had an experience. Do you ever get the feeling like you're just chilling in your room, like whether you're gaming or something, you just feel this urge like something's watching you?
SPEAKER_06Absolutely, yeah. I I feel that in like most places I'm in. I don't know if it's like a clairsentient thing or even like a paranoia thing or like whatever it may be. Like I'll be um, I'll be sitting here playing, because I don't really go to bed till like one or two in the morning. But I'll be sitting here and I'm like, there is somebody on my bed. And obviously there's not like I look and there's nobody there, but it's just like because you know, like when you don't when somebody's in the room with you, you just feel their presence. Like, whether you know they're looking at you or not, you feel their presence. I get that all like I'll be in the bathroom and I'm like taking a shower, and I'm like, when I pull this curtain back, there's gonna be someone standing right there, and there isn't.
SPEAKER_01But right, like you get that feeling like you're washing your hair, and then you just like get that feeling and you start speed washing to open your eyes.
SPEAKER_06No, it's like it's it's like that, but like I don't even like close my eyes anymore. I'm just staring at the ceiling. I'm like, but I get that feeling in a lot of even like in like a public place, like I'll be the only one in an like a in like a waiting room or something, and I'm like, there is somebody sitting in here with me, like in that chair specifically, and there's nobody there. And I remember I don't know, it's like certain like I feel when something or someone was there, and it's just like I just don't get like a good feeling. I don't know. A lot of the times where when I'm doing like paranormal investigations, I know that with paranormal investigating comes little waves of anxiety, especially with um high-energy spirits that are angry or bored or jealous or whatever. Like that's that's that's part of the game. You're gonna get a little anxious sometimes. But there was one instance where there's this really infamous haunted road over here. I think I made a video about it. It's called Dire Lane, and it dates back from like the 30s or 40s. Like they had like KKK meetings out there, like um like covens of witches would meet there. People would have like animal sacrifices. It was a really, really haunted road. And I went there with a friend, and um, we're using the spirit box and we're talking about it, whatever. We go back another time, and the first thing the spirit box says after we park in the same exact spot where we're where we parked last time, it said, Why have you returned? It's like, oh, so you guys remembered us. And I don't know, that kind of got me a little feeling weird. And it said, um, like, we want you. And I don't know, something about that message. I just got this like horrible, overwhelming feeling. And I'm like, uh-uh, like we gotta wrap it up, like we gotta go. I can't. Because I've had spirits tell me horrible things, like like they'll say, I want to see you in the dirt. And I'm like, come on, like, let's not talk like that. Come on. I'm not here to talk like that. Like, it doesn't bother me, it doesn't scare me. Like, I know that they can't do anything, but there is instances where it's I'll just feel this horrible feeling, and I'm like, we gotta wrap it up and go. Like, we can't be here much longer.
SPEAKER_01So when you do your paranormal investigations and you go to abandoned locations, do you do them solo or do you go with a group? What what's your method of investigating, if you don't mind sharing that?
SPEAKER_06Honestly, I believe that you can really investigate anywhere. The earth is so old and spirits just linger off of land whether something has happened there or not. We live by a wildlife preserve. So it's like big field, and there's a casino nearby, so it's like Native American land a lot. And I will just use a spirit box while we're walking the dog, or just walk into the mailbox. I'll just turn it on, and I'm like, hey, is anyone here want to talk to me right now? And we'll get some responses, nothing really like crazy, like it'll be like 1980, and it's like, okay, good for you. Like, you really can use them anywhere, but when I do actively go to somewhere that is haunted, I don't like to use the spirit box at night. And I don't know if again, that's like a paranoia thing or just like an anxious thing, but I don't like using the spirit box at night. Mainly because I also um I can see things out of the corners of my eyes, like my ex's old apartment was a really old apartment in like midtown Sacramento. It's from like I I believe it said the 1860s was when it was built. And I when I lived there with him, I would see corner stuff in the corner of my eye all the time walking around in that that apartment. So when I use a spirit box, I like to be aware of what's moving around me. I do like to use my EMF reader because that you don't even have to talk or get a response. You can kind of just carry it around. It's like, oh, there's someone here. Like, or you can just blame it on oh, my phone's too close to it. Like you can that's like the best paranormal hunting begunner tool if you're like a little bit too scared.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm not I because like I can feel things and I can I can hear things. Um more so feel things. Like I get really I can tell like when something's off in a place, it's like, okay, I don't want to fucking be here.
SPEAKER_06No, I get that.
SPEAKER_01So that's why so that's why like I avoid doing investigations, even though I've had multiple messages um from listeners saying, like, hey, you should do a paranormal investigation. Investigation. It's like, why do you want me to do that? I don't want to.
SPEAKER_06I already lived it once. What more do you guys need?
SPEAKER_01Right. Especially like after a lifetime of it, I would say, because like it started from age five onwards. Oh, jeez. Till about like age 17. And then there was like a lull and had a couple things happen while I was at college. And then starting the podcast, it's like, oh shit. Like weird stuff started happening type of thing. That I don't really really talk about. It's nothing serious. It kind of feels like, you know, some things like watching you and and stuff like that. And to your point with the technical issues that you've been having throughout the recording. I really do believe that when you talk about this stuff, it knows. They're what it is, if it's more of the negative side, they don't like you talking about it.
SPEAKER_06They don't. It's like I said, they're like bad kids getting told on, and they're like, I don't do that. Like, because spirits are so bored. And like I said, they'll just listen. Like, like you just say, knock it off, stop doing that, or go away. 99% of the time in my experience, they listen. Like, it's kind of like, oh, like, sorry, guys. And then it's like, we're moved on from it, whatever.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And then you get the odd thing of like, no. I'm not gonna.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I've only one time is when I've said like go away or stop, and it just like doubles down, and it's like, alright, no, like guy, you loud and clear, you can keep doing what you're doing.
SPEAKER_01Like with your investigations, do you guys just do you do like a cleansing before you investigate? Do you do anything like to protect yourself before you go or like cleanse yourselves afterward?
SPEAKER_06Um so as far as like paranormal, I don't do any cleansing or like any kind of like ritualistic things. I mean, we go in and if I feel a little uneasy, I might say like a prayer in my head, just because it's it always seems to work, whether I believe it or not, it seems to work, and it seems to, I mean, like I said, it or then no, like you said, I don't know if it's like an anxiety thing where it's kind of like resetting my nervous system thinking that I'm like in control when I do that. But it does seem to make me feel better, and whatever's weird happening, it doesn't seem so weird anymore. But yeah, the only really protection that I bring when I'm abandoned like abandoned places or haunted places or whatever is I have a flashlight and a taser. That's about it. And there's not much I can do to the spirits with either of those.
SPEAKER_01It's always good to bring a taser because I mean, as creepy as the paranormal is, you know, we have to look out for the living. That's exactly it.
SPEAKER_06Whenever we go to abandoned places, I'm always like, what are the chances of pissed off squatters being here? And then usually we haven't ran into any, thank God. But I don't know, because like spirits being all angry and restful that we're there, that's like it's like seeing a bear in the wild, like that's their home. Like it's not crazy. But seeing a squatter in an abandoned place, that's not really something I want to be expecting.
SPEAKER_01Right. You don't want to get chased out by somebody.
SPEAKER_06No, I don't, because especially it's like it's like, hey, I'm not trying to take your territory, I just like seeing shit that was left behind, like right, like abandoned hospitals and stuff.
SPEAKER_01It's always interesting to see what you would find there. I do have one final question for you, I would say. What are your thoughts on everybody's favorite tool? Ouija boards and tarot cards. Have you ever tried using them? Or are they like you'll collect human bones, but you won't touch those? Like, where do you stand on those?
SPEAKER_06So tarot cards I do use. I do do readings for myself and for other people. They've seem to be pretty accurate. Ouija boards, I will not touch. And that seems so hypocritical because I'll use a spirit box, but I won't use a Ouija board. I think Ouija boards are more of like portals where you can say goodbye all you want on a Ouija board doesn't mean that they're gonna listen to you. Spirit box, they're like, I don't know, something about the spirit box just feels more personal and it's like more like, don't talk to me like that. If you're gonna keep talking to me like that, I'm not gonna talk to you. And they kind of seem to respect it more. I don't know. I think because spirit boxes really more pick up what's around you, and Ouija boards, I see more as like a portal. Like you're bringing something, you're not just running into something, you're bringing something in, and you don't know what you're gonna bring in. Like, let me see if I can get it without it. I've got two little Ouija boards right up there. Just for luck, I will not use them. My sister and I, when we were 15 and 17, we bought a Ouija board at Spencer's and we tried to use it, nothing happened. We just we were, I think one of us was pushing it, we're like, stop, stop, stop, and like freaking ourselves out. But I think we're lucky that it didn't work. Because with our with our history with paranormal, I think we're very lucky that that didn't work.
SPEAKER_01You would have freaking had Satan himself. Oh my god, I don't know if we'd be here to tell the story.
SPEAKER_06Like it would have been so bad.
SPEAKER_01It would be a horror movie based on a true story.
SPEAKER_06No, it would be like the conjuring house, but in like a little ghetto apartment with two stupid white girls. That's what it would be like Scary Movie Meets the Conjuring.
SPEAKER_01Scary movie meets the conjuring. That's oh, that's a good way of putting it. Um another question came back to me. I I originally wanted to ask you this earlier, but I lost it and now it's back. Uh-huh. So you brought up the concept of heaven and hell. Like you say, you kind of believe in that. What's your like spiritual beliefs in general?
SPEAKER_06I guess for me, it's pretty much like how I see like cryptids and conspiracy theories. It's like I'm really anything is possible at this point. Like, I've experienced so much paranormal stuff. I've had um people who pass show signs that they're still here. My best friend is very religious. She believes in like this, like the like the um cookie cutter, heaven and hell, just what you'd what you'd imagine. I still do think that hell isn't fiery pits that we think, and heaven isn't what we think. I think that, like you said, maybe hell is here, and when we finally live a good enough life and we have no more unfinished business, then we can just hang out and watch over our loved ones.
SPEAKER_01But Isabel, thank you so much for agreeing to come on the show. This was a great conversation. I would love to have you back on at some point in the future. I feel like there's so many more avenues that we could we could explore with discussion with cryptid. We didn't really get into cryptids, we know we'll have to do that next time to UAPs and all that stuff, so we could probably have like a dedicated show about that. I think that would um would be a fun conversation, and hopefully my co-host can join us for that one um because he really enjoys that type of stuff as well. But before we end the show, Isabel, why don't you share with the listeners that where they could find you and your TikTok page or if you do any like type of streaming or anything of that sort where they could get a hold of you?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, so my TikTok, that's like the main platform I use. That is just paranormal experiences, places, abandoned places. Um, I'm starting to sprinkle a little bit of true crime in there. The TikTok is ghost kiss, but it's like you said, it's G-Hero S T period KJ S S. So the poor man's version of a ghost kiss username. Um I do have an Instagram, but that's not nothing really interesting's on there. That's just more personal stuff. But yeah, my TikTok is where if you just if you need like an hour to Doom Scroll and you don't want to scroll all the way down to someone's page, I think I got some pretty interesting stuff on there.
